The Weekly Crowning

Cincinnati-area businesses building it the right way, crowned every week.

Every week Queen & Vine puts one owner-operated business in the spotlight: what they built, how they built it, and what another owner can take from it. No pitch and no catch.

01What goes unseenWhy we do this

Great local work that never gets told.

Every town has a business doing it right. The trouble is, doing it right is quiet. Waiting for the work to speak for itself has a cost, and it never arrives as a bill.

  1. The best work stays in the room.It happens in one kitchen, one chair, one job site, and only the customer in front of them sees it.
  2. Word of mouth stops at the door.A happy customer tells a friend or two. Then the story ends, because nobody wrote it down.
  3. People walk past their next favorite place.Someone nearby looks for exactly what they do, finds a louder name, and never learns the better one was down the street.

So every week, we tell one. One business, its real story, told on our blog and our social channels with its OK.

02How a crown happensOne week, four days

From a nomination to a crown.

The same rhythm every week, so you always know when to nominate and when to look for the story.

  1. Wednesday

    Nominations open

Tell us the business's name, its town and why it deserves a crown. Never a tag; we reach out ourselves.

  2. Sunday

    Nominations close

We read every one, then reach out to the business we choose.

  3. Friday

    The crown is announced

On our social channels, once the business has approved its feature and its photos.

  4. The Tuesday after

    The full story

Their story goes up here on the blog, with links to share.

The business approves its feature and photos first Free. Never paid. Not an ad.

  2. 2.Its townSo we can find the right one.
  3. 3.Why it deserves a crownA sentence or a story. Your words help us tell theirs.

Public nominations start in November 2026. Nothing is posted without the business's OK, and please never tag them: we reach out ourselves.
