The Weekly Crowning

Good Brows, Explained Step by Step: Weekly Crowning No. 2, The Brow Babe

More than 1,400 clients, and not one left guessing. Our second Weekly Crowning goes to Kristin of The Brow Babe in Milford.

Kristin of The Brow Babe has given more than 1,400 clients new brows, and every one of them knew what was happening and why. Here is why she wears our second crown.

Most people don’t know what microblading involves until they’re in the chair. That is the moment a good artist slows down and explains.

That is the idea behind the Weekly Crowning. Every week, Queen & Vine puts the spotlight on someone building a brand the right way. There is no pitch and no catch. For October, our team is choosing every crown ourselves, and every October crown goes to a woman building something real. Starting in November, the nominations come from you.

Our second crown goes to Kristin, the artist behind The Brow Babe, a microblading and permanent brow studio at 453 Main Street in Milford, Ohio.

More Than 1,400 Clients, One Step at a Time

Since founding The Brow Babe, Kristin has worked with more than 1,400 clients across the area. What she prides herself on is how informed they feel: every client hears each step, the reason behind it and what comes next.

That matters more than it sounds. New brows are something you wear on your face every day. Knowing what is happening in the chair, and how to care for your brows afterward, is part of getting a result you love.

No Surprises, Even on Price

Her site lays it all out before anyone books. Microblading is $500, and that covers two appointments: the first visit and a perfecting session four to eight weeks later, with brow shaping included. The first appointment runs 90 minutes, and the first 45 of them are for the consultation, mapping the brows and matching the color. A topical numbing gel is used.

She is just as clear about what comes after. Results last one to two years, depending on lifestyle and skin type. A yearly touch-up for existing clients is $170, and corrective microblading starts with a virtual consult.

What Every Owner-Operator Can Take from Kristin

At Queen & Vine, every brand decision we make with a client gets tested against one question: does it win the right work? Kristin’s brand passes that test, and here is how.

  1. Explain the process before anyone asks. Kristin tells every client each step and the reason for it. People trust what they understand, and they come back to the person who explained it.
  2. Put the price where people can see it. Her site says what microblading costs, what it includes and how long it lasts. A customer who can see the whole picture can say yes without a phone call.
  3. Build the next visit into the first. The perfecting session is part of the price, and the yearly touch-up is listed up front. The relationship is planned from day one.
  4. Be easy to find when someone is ready. A careful process only wins the clients who can find it. When a studio doesn’t show up where people search, the client who was ready to book quietly goes to someone who does. Showing up everywhere people look, with the same clear story, is how you put that right.

Why She Wears the Crown

Kristin has built a studio on something every business can learn from: no surprises. Her clients know the price, the plan and the next step before they ever sit down.

More than 1,400 clients later, that care is the brand.

Kristin, you never underestimated the power of good brows, or of a good explanation. Wear the crown. You earned it.
